RC Massage & Bodywork Mobile Facts!

Here are some things you should know before you book your Mobile Massage!

What areas do you service?

Good question! Currently we will travel to Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley, and Estes Park.

Before the therapist arrives:

Be sure, after you book your appointment, to download and print out the Client Intake Form (or CLICK HERE for the files.) The therapist will not be able to perform the massage without these forms filled out and signed. Don't worry, if you don't have them, and cannot print them, your therapist will bring some with them, and you can fill them out while they are setting up for your massage.

Location:

When choosing the location for your massage you want to be sure to give the therapist plenty of room.  The massage tables are usually about 30" (2' 6") wide x 73" (6' 1") long.   You want to give 1 to 2 feet extra on each side for your massage therapist to maneuver around the table. Under best circumstances that puts it at approx 4' x 9' minimum and a max of 6’ x 11'.  So anywhere in between would work fine for your massage.   You want the location to be as free from interruption as possible.  If you have animals please secure them away from the treatment space.  Also, be sure the booking staff knows what kind of animals you have to avoid booking you with a therapist that may have allergies to your pet.

Music Selection:

Our therapists can work with any kinds of music, however, something relaxing, usually without lyrics, is the best to have playing in the background. However, whatever you want to relax to will work just fine. Typically, if you specify it during booking, our therapists can bring a CD with them to play.

Lighting:

Now this all depends on your preference.   There needs to be some light, but to keep things safe no candles should be used.  (These can tip over, cause fires, hurt if wax spills, etc, so it's best not to use them at all!)  Dimmer lights are best to use, or if your massage is during the day, no lights, and the shades down to keep lighting to a minimum.  Some of our clients like to have their massages out by the pool or pond in the backyard, and that's fine too.  Your therapist will be able to help you with the lighting of the area when they setup for the massage.

When the Therapist arrives:

Show the therapist to the area you'll be getting your massage.  Discuss with them the area, lighting, etc, and make sure it'll all works.   Hand them the paperwork you filled out.   They will discuss the information on the intake form while they are setting up the table, and discuss any health issues you may have or questions you have at this time.   Once the table is setup and the interview complete, the therapist will excuse themselves from the room for a couple minutes so that you may disrobe and get on the table for your massage.

During the massage:

RELAX.  Enjoy the feeling of a professional massage in your own home.  Be sure to tell your therapist of any discomfort you may feel, if the pressure is too much or too little.  Let them know if you want more work done on any areas they go over.  They will be happy to help you within the time allotted.

After the Massage:

After the allotted time, the therapist will excuse themselves from the room and allow you time to get up from the table, and get dressed.   The therapist will come back into the room and break down the massage equipment, and discuss with you any stretches you may want to do during the time between this and your next session.  They will also make a recommendation of care for your overall wellness.  At this point the session is done, feel free to tip the therapist and they will leave you in your altered state of enjoyment!

If you are ready at this time, call into the office and you can purchase your package over the phone or online here at the web site.  If you purchase from the web-site, call in to the office with your receipt number to be properly credited and to book your next appointment.
